Writer Sarah Phelps and actor Timothy Spall collected BAFTAs for The Sixth Commandment. The ѿý drama series told the true stories of Peter Farquhar (Spall) and Anne Moore-Martin (Anne Reid) who were victims of “gaslighting” by churchwarden Ben Field. Field manipulated both elderly residents of Maids Moreton, Buckinghamshire, and persuaded them to change their wills. He was convicted of the murder of Mr Farquhar and of defrauding Anne Moore-Martin. The Sixth Commandment won British Academy Television Awards for Best Limited Series and for Best Actor.
