Leeds’ Quarry Hill flats

Hidden West Yorkshire

Available for over a year

Peter Mitchell is regarded as the one of the most important early colour photographers of the 20th century and ahead of a major retrospective of his work at Leeds Art Gallery he has released a new book of fantastic photographs called "Nothing Lasts Forever". The book documents life in Leeds through the 70s and 80s, and particularly poignant, are the pictures of the Quarry Hill Flats, the largest social housing complex in the United Kingdom, which once stood in Leeds.
