Thekla at 40: Story of a Bristol icon

All About Bristol

Available for over a year

From Radio Caroline broadcasts to performances by Stormzy, Lewis Capaldi, The Pretenders and Calvin Harris the Thekla has hosted key moments. Originally a German trading boat, it was brought to Bristol in 1984. American novelist Kye Longfellow-Stanshall and her husband, the musician Vivian Stanshall, salvaged the ship and sailed it to the city. Hear from some of those people who have worked on Thekla and those who remember bringing it to Bristol.
