What is the future of Reading women's team?

Reading FC

Available for over a year

For many years Reading FC women's team has been a highly respected part of the club. Long term WSL competitors, FA Cup semi finalists, and producing a stream of players who would go on to play international football, the women's and girl's section was one of the strong elements of the club. The reduced support and resources because of the club's ownership crisis contributed to relegation from the WSL, high profile departures and a steady decline in results. Now they seem to be on the brink of being abolished altogether. Women's vice captain and Welsh International Charlie Estcourt, and former men's captain Ady Williams have been discussing the last few months, and the likely future. Presenter: Tim Dellor.
