Gainsborough Old Hall is a 15th-century manor house built for the Burgh family. Legend has it that Elizabeth Burgh was forbidden by her father Thomas to elope with her true love and imprisoned in the hall's tower, where she died of a broken heart. People claim to have seen a bluish-grey apparition, known as the Grey Lady, in the hall. Could it be the ghost of Elizabeth?
