Leominster Roadworks: We need compensation!

Tammy Gooding

Available for over a year

Small businesses in Leominster are calling for compensation, as major roadworks have been delayed in the town centre. More than £3 million of renovations started in May and were originally due to finish in September. However, Herefordshire Council recently pushed back the expected completion date to late November, because of issues with drainage and getting materials. The local authority said it will provide two hours of free daily parking from early August, as well as better roadworks signage and funding to promote local events. Our reporter Matt Hutchinson has been for a coffee with traders in Leominster, to find out more.
