Pauline Ferrand-Prévot: the home hope on two wheels

Sportsworld

Available for over a year

Pauline Ferrand-Prévot has won world titles across multiple cycling disciplines - cyclo-cross, gravel, road and mountain bike – but there is one accolade still missing from her collection: an Olympic medal. The French cyclist – who will compete at her fourth Olympic Games in Paris – will start as one of the home medal hopes when she lines up in the cross-country mountain bike event. Tenth place in Tokyo is her best Olympic finish to date, even when a puncture ended her podium chances. Speaking ahead of Paris 2024, Ferrand-Prévot tells Sportsworld’s Lee James about why this feels like the “best timing” for her and what would it would mean to win gold at a home Games.
