Tiger Tyson and the new Olympic sport of kiteboarding

Sportsworld

Available for over a year

Tiger Tyson is a name destined for sporting success and the Antigua and Barbuda kitesurfer will be hoping for exactly that at Paris 2024. Not only will the New Zealand-born athlete be making his Olympics debut, so will his sport of Formula Kite - also known as kitesurfing or kiteboarding - which sees athletes race above water on boards with hydrofoils, propelled by kites. Tyson tells Sportsworld’s Delyth Lloyd about his aims for Paris 2024, what Formula Kite is and how he first got involved, and his mission to protect the ocean he has spent his whole life connecting with.
