The parents of a talented young performer from Oxfordshire who took his own life whilst under the care of a mental health trust say staff failed to keep him safe. An inquest into the death of 22-year-old Conor Dowers from Banbury heard his body was found at a construction site in London in December 2020 after absconding from Highgate Mental Health Centre. The North London Mental Health Partnership has apologised and said it has developed additional training for staff. Katharine Da Costa has been speaking to Conor’s parents.
