Dan Powell, a 33-year-old Para Judoka from Liverpool, is set to compete on the global stage once again. Born with a visual impairment, Powell made his Paralympics debut 12 years ago in London and is now ranked number 3 in the world. Beyond his athletic achievements, he runs an academy dedicated to empowering young people through sport. Powell follows in the footsteps of his father, Terry, who won two Paralympic bronze medals despite being registered blind. Now, Dan is ready to build on his legacy at Paris 2024.
