'They'd got the attitude, ideas and creativity'
Available for over a year
Oasis played Stoke in the early 90s - at The Wheatsheaf, which is now a Wetherspoons pub. Booked at first as a 'sandwich act' between headliners and local bands, they supported names such as The Bluetones and Del Amitri. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Stoke's Lee Blakeman caught up with Anne Riddle, former owner of the establishment. She made the decision to book Oasis not once, not twice, but three times.
