Will freeing prisoners early lead to more homelessness?

The Wake Up Call

Available for over a year

A new government scheme will have some prisoners released if they've served 40% of their sentence. But campaigners, including the Chief Inspector of Prisons, are worried about the amount of housing available for prison leavers. Anna Cookson speaks to Junior Smart, the founder of the SOS project at St Giles Trust, about the work they do with offenders in Kent once they’re released from prison and his own experience in prison.
