Just metres from the noise and chaos of the West End, with it's tourists and theatregoers, is an enchanting oasis of green. Hidden on a slither of land behind the Phoenix Theatre, you'll find the Phoenix Garden, which has been there in some form for around 900 years. It's survived the ever-expanding development of London around it, and has even made a come-back after a brief spell as a car park.
