The music legend Ustad Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan's ‘lost album’ Chain of Light is released. It highlights unheard recordings of the artist produced at Real World Studios in 1990. British musician Peter Gabriel, the founder of WOMAD (World of Music and Dance) Festival, introduced Nusrat to the world and their collaborations are considered among the finest in world music.
