Lyme Regis Museum volunteer wins national award

Available for over a year

Lizzie Wiscombe is a prolific volunteer at Lyme Regis Museum, often donning Victorian costume to further immerse visitors into the story of Mary Anning and the history of the Jurassic Coast. As the resident expert, she became Kate Winslet's dialect coach, helping her prepare to play Mary Anning in the biopic, 'Ammonite'. Lizzie has been rewarded for her creativity and industry as the South-West Winner of the Marsh Volunteering Awards, for her outstanding contribution to museum learning. Lizzie spoke to Radio Solent's Steve Harris about receiving the award and working with a celebrity.
