Birmingham’s legacy as the birthplace of British Bhangra music is being celebrated by a new collaboration involving Birmingham City University.   The University has teamed up with experts in South Asian popular culture to map 40 years of heritage – from 1970’s influences to contemporary trends. BCU's Dr Rajinder Dudrah grew up in Aston and now lives in Great Barr. He's helping celebrate British Bhangra music by teaming up with experts to map 40 years of the heritage. Radio WM's Kath Stanczyszyn spoke to him earlier.
