Campaign to save Fiddler's Ferry towers
Available for over a year
There's a campaign to save Fiddler's Ferry cooling towers, calling them an "icon of post-war power generation". Four were demolished last December with plans to remove the remaining four in the coming months. But the Twentieth Century Society wants to save them. Fiddler's Ferry dominated the Cheshire skyline after it became fully operational in 1973.
