Tipton Soldier set to take on Arctic expedition

A former soldier from Tipton is getting ready to trek 500 kilometres across the Arctic. Karl Hinnet will be taking on the unsupported expedition - alongside celebrities such as Jason 'Foxy' Fox from SAS: Who Dares Wins. They'll be trekking through the snow and ice of Swedish Lapland - dragging sleds containing all their equipment and supplies. And it comes almost 20 years since Karl sustained horrific injuries while serving in Iraq with the Staffordshire Regiment. In 2005, his tank was hit by multiple petrol bombs - and he suffered 37 per cent burns.
