The ‘crushing brutality’ of being in a boy band

Available for over a year

Watford’s Lee Murray was in debt and felt “a massive failure” when Let Loose split up. Let Loose (pictured in 1995 with Murray at the bottom) weren’t a manufactured group, but still found themselves labelled as a boy band in the 1990s. They disbanded in 1996 after achieving three top ten hits. In 2008, Let Loose got back together and are now playing gigs and releasing music. Interview by Babs Michel. Photo: Getty Images.
