We’ve all seen police dogs at big events, airports and shopping centres – but have you ever wondered how they become so intelligent?   Well, West Midlands Police’s dog unit spend hours training them from birth teaching them how to sniff out crime.   It’s all possible thanks to volunteers who look after the puppies for their first year of life, and one local couple has been helping for 25 years as Rachael Lewis reports.
