A mob 300 strong, attacked the Holiday Inn Express in Tamworth housing asylum seekers last summer. It was part of a wave of public disorder that swept the country, following the murder of three young girls in Southport and misinformation that spread online about the killer being an illegal immigrant. Six months on and Tamworth is trying to heal. A lot of work has been going on behind the scenes to bring people together and to shout about all that's great about the town. Lee Bates is the Chief Operating Officer of Community interest company - Community Together Tamworth, which has been spearheading several community projects.
