The largest stone-ground flour mill in the world

Hidden West Yorkshire

Available for over a year

The West Yorkshire Archaeological Society reports that a working mill has existed by the River Aire in Castleford since Roman times. Flour has been produced on the site of Queen’s Mill for nearly 900 years, with only brief interruptions. During the medieval period, the mills primarily processed wheat, a tradition that continues to this day. Image Credit: Experience Wakefield
