Reporter Richard Williams explores the two diversionary routes for the three week closure of the A46. There are two routes, one for local traffic and one for HGVs. Usually the journey on the A46 between Kenilworth and Coventry is four miles and takes approximately six minutes. During the test, the local traffic diversion route was nine miles long and took twenty-four minutes. The HGV route was 48.4miles and took an hour and three minutes.
