What does the future look like for British Steel?

Available for over a year

Government officials and British Steel staff are racing to secure essential raw materials to keep the blast furnaces running at the firm's Scunthorpe site. Emergency legislation was passed on Saturday to give the government control of the plant, though it remains owned by the Chinese company, Ying-Ye. The furnaces are expected to run out of coking coal and iron ore very soon. Redcar MP, Anna Turley, spoke to Amy Oakden.
