A new science facility in Liverpool that aims to address diseases has been funded with over a million pounds. Microbiomes are microorganisms that dwell in human bodies. The University of Liverpool's Microbiome and Infectious Disease Innovation Hub will investigate the possible applications of microbiomes. Professor Jo Fothergill is the Center's director, and she has been explaining more about microbiomes – what they are and what they do – to our reporter Leanne Harper
