The plane that survived Nuremberg, but crashed in Aston Rowant

The raid on the German city of Nuremburg resulted in the highest number of aircrew losses for any single air mission in World War II. One of the planes - Halifax Bomber LW579 - successfully took part in the raid, but crashed in Aston Rowant in South Oxfordshire on its way back to RAF Snaith in Yorkshire.
