Fences and Festivals: A Tale of Two Opinions in Liverpool

Available for over a year

Bank holiday weekend in Liverpool is going to be HUGE. There's the LFC parade, the Queen Anne is coming to the Mersey, and before all that, Radio 1 is here with the Big Weekend – taking over Sefton Park for three days of live music. But the event in a public park is splitting opinion in south Liverpool. Some say fences went up too soon, depriving people of a quarter of the park, two weeks before the event starts. Others are giddy with excitement that stars like Sam Fender, the Sugababes and Natasha Bedingfield will be performing. Our reporter Claire Hamilton has been speaking to people on both sides of the fence... pardon the pun.
