'I want justice for my younger self'

Available for over a year

The government wants to change The Mental Health Act so that disabled and autistic people cannot be detained in most circumstances. This is after a 2018 independent review found the act was too often being used to detain disabled and autistic people for lengthy periods. Lucy Bowerman, from Witney, took part in a protest over this in Westminster last month and told Sophie Law about her own experience of being detained.
