The history of Chelsea in 50 buildings

London Uncovered

Available for over a year

The West London neighbourhood of Chelsea has changed enormously over the years. In the 'Swinging Sixties' it was a vibrant hub for fashion and music.... where the likes of Mary Quant, Vivienne Westwood, and the Rolling Stones set up shop. Nowadays, it's a place beloved by the influential and wealthy. But while Chelsea's inhabitants are certainly part of its story, so too are its buildings. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio London's Robert Elms has been speaking to London historian and Tour Guide Lucy McMurdo, about her new book 'Chelsea in 50 Buildings'. (Image credit: Getty Images)
