Paralympic goal for Coventry physiotherapist

Lissie Simpson, a physiotherapist at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire, is a team GB hopeful aiming for gold at the 2028 Paralympics in Los Angeles. She competes as a para-cyclist and won the women's 1km time trial at the National Track Championships in Manchester in 2025. Lissie was a sporty teenager and excelled at football and handball before she suffered a stroke in 2015 during surgery on a brain tumour, which led to paralysis on her left side. She's been speaking to ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ CWR presenter Vic Minett.
