In 2015 Owen Bennett-Jones travelled to Bradford to meet some of the first Syrian refugees brought to Britain under the Vulnerable Persons Relocation Scheme. In this poignant clip, Nadia describes her feelings of loss. From 16-22 June, Bradford 2025 will celebrate Refugee Week through a series of events. The centrepiece, ‘What Will We Do Without Exile?’, is a new artwork created by UK-based Palestinian artist Basel Zaraa.
