Did Greater Manchester have bullfights in the 60s?

Available for over a year

In 1964, the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Fyfe Robertson travelled to Rochdale to meet the Lancashire matadors. And with it being Britain they couldn't really use a live bull but the people of Rochdale were not stopped by a minor detail such as that! In place of the beast a man ran round with a one wheeled bicycle, with horns instead of handlebars and made bull like noises. ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Manchester has the story.
