Concerns over the future of Scunthorpe Hospital

Available for over a year

The leader of North Lincolnshire Council, Rob Waltham, claims hospital services in Scunthorpe are being moved by stealth and has called for the Government to step in. There are plans to move the care of trauma patients to Diana Princess of Wales Hospital in Grimsby, together with some medical specialities for people with heart, lung or stomach conditions. Health bosses say the move would help deliver more consultant-led specialist services and reduce the length of hospital stays.
