Coventry Taxi drivers call for bigger rank

Available for over a year

Taxi drivers in Coventry have started a petition to try and get the city council to increase the number of spaces on a rank in Cross Cheaping. The rank at the side of the KFC in the city centre has been there for several years, but the council have plans to limit the number of cabs that can park there to just four. Major Gill is the Chairman of the Coventry Taxi Association and says 1600 people have so far signed their petition calling for the city council to rethink the plans.
