If you’re a parent or carer, then you may well have asked yourself this question: how do I get my little one to take an interest in books and to enjoy stories? And nowadays, with a world dominated by smartphones and tablets, it’s quite a challenge. But with nearly 40% of local 5-year-olds starting school without the language and communication skills they need, it’s a challenge families and schools need to rise to. Well, an event took place at the Five Children’s Trust in Speke, where The National Literacy Trust launched their  three-year initiative to boost children’s early language and communication skills.
