'You can't wipe away history'

Available for over a year

Indian comedian Anuvab Pal has created a successful stand up show about Clive of India and the legacy of the British Empire. Anuvab says British culture is so deeply engrained in everyday Indian life there isn't as much debate in his own country, "people have moved on from the Empire." The comedian has a statue of Clive close to his house in Calcutta, but what does he make of the current debate on imperial statues? 'The British/Indian history is much more complicated' Anuvab tells ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Radio Shropshire's Mark Elliott.
