More sailings ahead for the Scillonian III ferry to the Isles of Scilly

Julie Skentelbery

Available for over a year

Stuart Reid from The Isles of Scilly Steamship Group says global supply chain issues and conflict in the Middle East mean the arrival of the new Scillonian IV ferry is delayed until March 2027, which means the old Scillonian III ferry will have to keep sailing all next year. The new freight vessel Menawethan - the replacement for the Gry Maritha - is on track for delivery in the Spring of 2026.
