Sir Anthony Robinson is actor, author, broadcaster, and political activist. He was born in 1946 in ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½rton to parents from working-class Hackney backgrounds. He was just 13 when he got his first acting role, as a member of Fagin's band in the original West End production of Oliver! He came to prominence in 1983 in Blackadder, as the bumbling dogsbody Baldrick with the catchphrase "I have a cunning plan". Tony has presented several historical documentaries, including the Channel 4 series Time Team. He’s also written 16 children's books, and narrated countless children’s TV shows. Throughout his life he’s been involved with charities and trade unionism and was knighted in 2013 for ‘public and political service’.
