Available for over a year
Amy Jade Winehouse was born in 1983 in Gordon Hill in Enfield, London, to Jewish parents. For many years her father, Mitch Winehouse, was taxi driver; her mother, Janis Winehouse was a pharmacist. Before her death in 2011 at the age of 27, Amy had become, in the eyes of many, a cultural icon of the 21st century. She has sold over 30 million records worldwide. In 2006, Amy and her dad Mitch took on the famous 15 questions, together becoming Listed Londoners. To mark what would have been Amy's 42nd birthday, we've re-released this interview. It's one of the oldest tapes in our archive. This was broadcast just after the released of Amy's second album Back to Black.
