The man who saved Catshill Village Hall

Make a Difference: Hereford and Worcester

Available for over a year

'The dedication and creativity of this Scout leader brings people together.' Phil Lacey volunteers with Scouts Bromsgrove and Hereford & Worcester, helping young people thrive. He shares with Tammy Gooding how he saved his village hall from closure, turning it in to a busy community hub. Phil started a Knit and Natter group for charity, as well as The Games Hub, giving young people a safe place and a hot meal. He runs free events all year and has launched a community garden to help locals grow their own food. Phil Lacey won the 'Volunteer of the Year' prize at the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½ Hereford & Worcester Make A Difference Awards.
