Illing-Junior: 'I learned a lot about myself'

West Bromwich Albion

Available for over a year

Villa's Samuel Illing-Junior, who's on loan at Albion, discusses his career so far. The London-born winger began at Chelsea and spent 8 years in their Academy before rejecting a contract extension and moved to Italy at the age of 16 to sign for Juventus. That was also during the Covid pandemic in 2020 and he discusses adjusting to life there and playing in the Serie A and the Champions League. The 22-year-old moved to Aston Villa last summer but is yet to make a competitive appearance for Unai Emery's side and has instead been loaned out to Bologna, Middlesbrough and now the Baggies. The England Under 21 international also speaks to Steve Hermon about his favoured position in Ryan Mason's team and his aim for this season. Picture Credit: Getty Images/The FA
