Episode details

Available for over a year
Alison Clarkson, better known as Betty Boo, was born in 1970 in west London. She grew up in Hammersmith with her Scottish mother and Malaysian father. Between 1990 and 1992 she had a successful - if short-lived - solo career, spawning three Top 10 singles, before stepping out of the limelight for three decades. In her hiatus she continued to write and produce music for the likes of Sophie Ellis-Bextor and Girls Aloud. In 2022, she started making music for herself again, and this year she’s touring the UK for the first time. Betty Boo reveals her favourite haunts, memories, pet hates and everything in between with Robert Elms.
