Herefordshire's record-breaking Rachel

Available for over a year

Hay-on-Wye's Rachel Ferrington competes in a sport where a single slip could slice off her fingers. She's the first female athlete to represent Great Britain at the World Timbersports Championships. Rachel tells Tammy Gooding how her love for timbersports was developed from a chance meeting from someone in the street, which could well have been a chat-up line! It marks a noted shift from Rachel's day job at Hay Castle, to competing on the world stage in one of the most physically demanding sports around. Image credit: Timbersports
