Celebrating Care Leavers month

Available for over a year

Young people who grow up in care are much more likely to become homeless, unemployed or face mental health challenges. That's why the work of Shropshire Council's Leaving Care Team is fundamental in supporting young adults as they prepare to leave care and become independent. November is "Care Leavers Month", a national initiative dedicated to celebrating the achievements of care-experienced young people, amplifying their voices, and strengthening community support. To celebrate some of those achievements in Shropshire, Alysha Ridley and Steve Ladd from the Leaving Care Team told the ÃÛÑ¿´«Ã½'s Johnty O'Donnell about the work they're so passionate about.
