Hamas Commander Killed in Gaza Fire Exchange

Israeli troops have clashed with Hamas militants during a raid inside the Gaza Strip. Hamas said Israeli Special Forces killed a militant commander. Israel said one of its army officers was also killed. In Paris, world leaders gathered yesterday at the Arc de Triomphe to mark the centenary of the armistice, the agreement that ended World War One. The French president Emmanuel Macron urged them to build hope rather than playing on fear. In the Democratic Republic of Congo, seven opposition parties have announced a joint candidate to fight the Presidential election in six week’s time. Businessman Martin Fayulu will take on President Joseph Kabila’s chosen successor Emmanuel Ramazani Shadary.
