Paradise Wildfire: Death Toll Reaches 42

The authorities in Northern California say they have found the remains of another thirteen people killed by the worst wildfire in the history of the state. It brings the total known to have died in the blaze in and around the town of Paradise to 42. World leaders are meeting in Palermo to discuss the crisis in Libya. The conference is supposed to focus on reconciliation between warring sides, amid the hope that elections can take place next year. The UN is warning of catastrophic consequences for the Yemen if the port city of Hodeidah is destroyed. At least 100 people are reported to have been killed in 24 hours of clashes in the residential areas of the city.
