Indonesia is prone to earthquakes, but this year has been particularly relentless. The Island of Lombok, which experienced a deadly earthquake in August, struggles to pick up the pieces. In the past two days, pollution levels in Delhi have been worse than at any other time this year. Doctors in Sudan have gone on strike as part of a sixth day of anti-government protests, sparked by anger over the rising price of bread and fuel. A general strike is expected today.
