Ire Aderinokun is a self taught web designer and Equality campaigner from Nigeria. She's the co-founder of a company aiming to build a digital currency infrastructure for Africa. She also a keen writer on technical issues in her blog, bitsofcode. In this edition of Focus on Africa, Ire shines a spotlight on the potential of cryptocurrencies, the challenges of living with a hidden disability, and introduces us to the term 'Japa' - young middle class people in Nigeria, who despite doing well, are still seeking to leave the country. This edition is the last in a series where notable Africans were invited to take the editor's chair for Focus on Africa. The guest editors over the festive period have been South Sudanese musician and former child soldier, Emmanual Jal, Beninese multi-award winning singer-songwriter Angelique Kidjo, and South Africa's first female Public Protector, Professor Thuli Madonsela.
