President Trump meets Xi Jinping

Newsday

Available for 27 days

The US President Donald Trump has met with the Chinese leader Xi Jinping in South Korea and described the encounter as 'amazing'. He told reporters on Air Force One that they have come to an agreement to try to prevent a spiralling trade war. We'll look at the economic and political significance of this meeting. As efforts to secure peace in Gaza continue and thoughts turn to how the territory will be governed, we speak to the son of the long held Palestinian prisoner Marwan Barghouti and look at the possibility of his release. And we go to the Netherlands where nearly all the voters are counted in the Dutch General election. And the Dutch centrist are posing a serious threat to the populist Geert Wilders.
