'No Kings' protests draw huge crowds

Weekend

Available for 16 days

In the United States, hundreds of thousands have taken to the streets to protest President Trump’s policies. The coalition behind the so-called No Kings demonstrations urged Americans to send a clear message: Donald Trump is not a king. Also in today’s programme: It has been nine days since the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas came into effect. We’ll hear from a resident of Gaza about what life is like under the fragile truce. But can the Israeli government be trusted to uphold its side of the agreement? We speak to a former Israeli foreign minister. And, a Brazilian artist draws inspiration from his African heritage, blending identity and tradition into bold new work. Presenter Julian Worricker is joined by Nathalie Tocci, Italian political scientist, Director of the Institute of International affairs in Italy think tank and Alec Russell, Foreign Editor at the Financial Times.
